Dr. Mayowa Afe holds B.Sc. (Hons) in Geology & Applied Geophysics from Ondo State University Ado-Ekiti, a Masters degree and Ph.D in Petroleum Geology, University of Port Harcourt. He is Managing Director, Danvic Concepts International Nigeria. He was Country Manager, Paradigm Geophysical Nigeria. Dr. Afe is the immediate Past President & Fellow of Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (FNAPE).
Dr. Christopher Kolade, CON is the Chancellor of McPherson University, Seriki Sotayo, Ogun State, Nigeria. He is a respected Nigerian diplomat and seasoned academic.
Born in Erin–Oke, Osun State, Nigeria in 1932, Dr. Kolade attended Government College, Ibadan and later proceeded to Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone, for Bachelor of Arts. He became a broadcaster and later rose to the position of Director–General of the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC).
Aside journalism, he was formerly a Chief Executive and Chairman of Cadbury Nigeria Plc. He also served Nigeria, distinctively, as High Commissioner to The United Kingdom.
Dr. Kolade was a one time Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos. He has served in many national and international bodies, having been President of The Nigerian Institute of Management (1985–88), The Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (1988–93), The International Institute for Communications (1973–75) and The World Association for Christian Communication (1975–82) among others.
He received the medal of the Order of St. Augustine from the Archbishop of Canterbury (1981), and is also a Lay Canon of the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in the Diocese of Guildford. He was a former Chairman of the Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme Board.
He holds honorary doctorate degrees of McPherson University (2016), University of Sierra Leone (1976) among others.
Currently, Dr. Kolade is at the vanguard of promoting business integrity in Nigeria through his chairmanship of organisations such as The Convention on Business Integrity; Managing Business for Christ (MBFC) and participates regularly in the activities of Apostle in the Market Place (AiMP).
Prof. Olurinde E. Lafe, is the Chairman, McPherson University Governing Council & Pro-Chancellor. He is an inventor, visionary entrepreneur and a distinguished Professor of Engineering. He is a Director, Centre for Renewable Energy Technology, Federal University of Technology Akure and Chairman – The MIDATCO Group, USA.
Prof. Lafe studied Civil Engineering at the University of Lagos and bagged a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1974. He holds a 1977 DHE graduate degree in Computational Hydraulics from the Delft International Institute of Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering and later received his Ph.D in 1981 from Cornell University with a major in Computational Hydraulics and minors in Structures and Applied Mathematics.
He is an internationally recognized engineer and authority in mathematical and computational modeling. He has held professorship positions in a number of universities in the world including Africa and the United States of America.
Born on May 6, 1951 in Ondo town, Ondo State, Prof. Lafe’s research efforts have resulted in 9 US issued patents covering methods and appliances for Encryption, Computational Process Modeling, Compression and Coding of Digital Images, Audio and Video Data, and Accelerated Data Delivery in Communications Networks. He has published numerous learned articles and written single and multi-author books. His book, “Cellular Automata Transforms: Theory and Applications in Multimedia Compression, Encryption and Modeling” (Kluwer, 2000) described innovative ways of applying cellular automata theory to solving problems in communications and information systems. His inventions have been implemented in software and hardware commercial and consumer products sold worldwide.
Prof. Lafe is equally committed to sustainable development using passive and active renewable energy technologies and sources. He has come up with the concept of Best Energy Homes in which buildings are designed to make maximal use of local materials and passive solar techniques in order to reduce the energy requirements of the home. He is an Editorial Board member of the International Journal of Energy and Water Resources (IJEWR).
Adeniyi Agunbiade, is the Vice-Chancellor, McPherson University. He is a Professor of Animal Nutrition & Feed Technology. Agunbiade is a First Class graduate of University of Ife (Now Obafemi Awolowo University), Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He bagged a Master of Science degree from the premier University, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria and a Doctorate degree (Ph.D.) from the University of Nottingham, Nottingham, England. He has been teaching and researching for over three decades. A distinguished and well-travelled scholar, Agunbiade is rich in administrative and managerial practice.
