Babatunde is the Director, Directorate of Academic Planning at McPherson University and a distinguished scholar.He is an alumnus of Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago-Iwoye Ogun State, Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife Osun State, Saint Monica University Buea, Cameroon and Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology Nairobi, Kenya, East Africa where he bagged his first, second and third Degrees in Accounting and Finance respectively.<\/p>\n

He belongs to the following Professional Institutes such as, Fellow Member, Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), Member, Certified National Accountant (CNA), Member, Chartered Institute of Forensics and Certified Fraud Investigators of Nigeria (CIFCFIN), Member, Fellow Member, International Association of Research Scholars and Administrators (IARSA), Fellow Member, Association of Forensic Accountants Researchers (AFAR), Fellow, Institute of Educational Leadership Practitioners of Nigeria (IELPN), Member, Fellow, Certified Institute of Hospitality, Tourism and Management (CIHTM), Institute of Public Accountants Australia (IPA), Associate, Institute of Financial Accountants UK (AFA), \u00a0amongst others.<\/p>\n

He worked for the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) (June to October 2018) as a Specialist Consultant on a Research titled: Expanded Review of the Nigerian Tax System to map reforms that will drive Tax Revenue Growth along three Tax Reform Thematic Areas: Tax Policy Reforms, Tax Legislative Reforms and Tax Administrative Reforms presented to the Minister of Budget and National Planning at the 24th<\/sup> Nigerian Economic Summit (NES 24 October 2018) at the Federal Ministry of Budget and National Planning Auditorium, Abuja.<\/p>\n

Professor Lawal has served (and is still serving) McPherson University in the following capacities: Council Member of the Governing Council of the University representing Congregation (2023-date), Chairman University Ceremonies\u2019 Committee (2022-date), and Chairman Space Allocation Committee (2023-date). Professor Lawal on several occasions served as a team member of Ad-Hoc Accreditation Panels of the National Universities Commission (NUC) for B.Sc (Accounting) Programme at a number of Federal, State and Private Universities in Nigeria.<\/p>\n

He is the immediate past Dean, College of Postgraduate Studies and former Head of Department Accounting and Finance McPherson University Seriki-Sotayo, Ogun State. His area of interest includes Environmental Accounting, Oil and Gas Accounting, Accounting Theory, Auditing and Assurance, International Accounting, Forensic Accounting and Financial Management. He has taught these courses both at the undergraduate and postgraduate level within and outside Nigeria.<\/p>\n

Supporting his teaching is a record of achievement in academic research; Professor Lawal has to his credit over sixty scholarly publications He has published several articles in various reputable and international journals. He has attended several conferences both in Nigeria and Outside Nigeria. He is happily married.[\/tt_biography][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”About DAP” tab_id=”1708521517473-308e6a97-e448″][vc_column_text]The Directorate of Academic Planning is an integral part of the Vice-Chancellor’s Office and is headed by a Director. The Director of Academic Planning (DAP) reports directly to the Vice-Chancellor to whom he\/she is directly responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Directorate. The DAP is being assisted by a Deputy Director.<\/p>\n

In addition to the Director and Deputy Director, other staff members of the Directorate are Academic Planning Officer (Statistician), Administrative Officer, Secretary, Clerical Staff and Administrative Assistant.
