Olumurewa is a materials physicist and currently a Visiting Scholar at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA. He earned his B.Sc. in Physics, M.Sc. in Materials Science, and Ph.D. in Materials Science from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. His career lies at the intersection of physics, chemistry, and engineering, with a focus on the synthesis, design, fabrication, and optimization of advanced materials for applications in sensors, energy storage devices, and optoelectronics. His research \u2014 which often explores graphene, transition metal oxides, chalcogenides, and other functional materials \u2014 addresses challenges in energy and environmental sustainability, and has been shared at leading international conferences and published in reputable journals worldwide.<\/p>\n

With nearly a decade of academic and professional experience, Dr. Olumurewa has distinguished himself as a dedicated teacher, mentor, and researcher. He has guided students not only through coursework and research but also through community engagement, embodying the true essence of in loco parentis<\/em>. Beyond the classroom, he has served in several key leadership capacities, including as a Senate representative, University Governing Council. His contributions have earned him multiple awards, and he is a member of multiple scientific societies.[\/tt_biography][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”About” tab_id=”1709639795817-5683f827-8b8f”][vc_column_text]It is with great joy that I warmly welcome you to the Directorate of Student Affairs, McPherson University, where we continually seek the welfare and all-round development of our students to become world changers.
