Students from the department of Mass Communication embarked on an educational visit to TVC Communications, a leading media organisation in West Africa on Wednesday 25th March, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
The visit to the broadcast media organisation located at the Eko Atlantic in Victoria Island, Lagos State is one that would leave a lasting impression on their academic journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For many of the students, it was their first time experiencing a real broadcasting environment with a state-of-the-art facility beyond the classroom. What had once been theories in lecture rooms suddenly came alive as they walked through the newsroom, production studio and control rooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The excitement peaked when the students met some of the station\u2019s popular TV hosts and producers. Beyond the lively and inspiring interactions where the presenters shared personal stories of challenges, growth, and success in the media industry, it was also an opportunity to participate in a live studio programme \u2013 THE BIG ISSUE \u2013 anchored by Mark Otabor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The students were encouraged to stay focused and confident at all times, as attaining success in broadcasting requires both passion and discipline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A seasoned TV producer, Mr. Francis Azubuike commended the brilliance and articulate contributions of the students and looked forward to more visits from the University. The tour did not end without visits to radio stations \u2013 YANGA 89.9 FM and MAX 102.3FM also housed within the TVC Communications edifice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his remark, President of McPherson University Mass Communication Students Association (MACSA), Toluwani Ademuyiwa, noted that beyond the academic value, the visit was also an avenue to promote the excellent work at McPherson University and he commended the Vice Chancellor, Professor Francis Igbasan\u2019s support for excellence and students\u2019 development.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
