McPherson University welcomed new sets of students during her 13th orientation program for the 2024\/2025 academic session held at the University Multipurpose Hall. The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Francis Igbasan addressed the incoming freshmen, emphasizing the importance of being proactive as they embark on their academic journey in the University where he described as the “Home of Champions.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

In his keynote address, Prof. Igbasan highlighted the significance of the orientation, stating, “This program is designed to prepare you for your stay in the university.” He encouraged students to take full advantage of the resources and opportunities available to them, reminding them that their success depends on their engagement and initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Vice-Chancellor also reassured students of the university’s commitment to excellence. “We have competent and highly committed staff,” he affirmed, noting that the faculty is dedicated to fostering a supportive learning environment. This commitment is backed with a proven track record to quality education, which aims to instill a culture of academic excellence among both staff and students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Acting Registrar, Mr. Olufemi Adebowale, in his address to the freshmen, highlighted the growth of the University since its inception, while encouraging students to take full advantage of the upward trajectory the school is well known for. He said, \u201cThere are programs designed within the school curriculum to ensure you become professionals before you leave the four walls of the institution. Take full advantage of them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking further at the event, the Bursar, Mrs. Aderonke Adeofun assured the students of the University\u2019s commitment to her highly subsidized fees and payment structure. She charged the students to focus more on their academic pursuit while striving for excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Igbasan further encouraged the students to participate in extracurricular activities, urging them to connect with peers and faculty. “Your university experience is what you make of it,” he said, inspiring students to explore various interests and develop meaningful relationships during their time at McPherson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
