Aderonke Olukemi Adeofun, born on December 1, 1965, in Ilesha, Osun State, Nigeria, became the Bursar of McPherson University on October 2, 2024, succeeding Mr. Ademola Osanyinro. Adeofun’s strong background in finance and accounting, combined with her extensive experience, positions her as a valuable asset to the institution. She completed her early education in Ekiti State and earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Ibadan in 1987, followed by an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

Her professional qualifications include being both an Associate and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a member of the Nigeria Institute of Management (Chartered). Adeofun began her career as an Audit Trainee, later advancing to key positions at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, where she significantly improved financial operations and compliance.

Beyond her professional life, she is active in community service and church activities, often engaging in workshops and training on financial management. Adeofun is married with two children and enjoys reading, traveling, and cooking. As Bursar, she aims to enhance financial accountability at McPherson University, focusing on strategic practices to support the university’s mission. Her collaborative leadership philosophy emphasizes integrity and mentorship, preparing the institution for future growth and sustainability.
