Taiwo and Kehinde Aládé, also known as God’sPraise (Ìyìnolúwa) and God’sGreatness (Títóbiolúwa), are 100-level Nursing students at McPherson University. Hailing from Ọ̀yọ́ State, residing in Abúlé Ẹ̀gbá, the twins shared a unique story of inspiration, resilience, and mutual support. Their passion for Nursing was kindled by their love for learning and the influence of Ben Carson’s books. “Reading Think Big and You Have a Brain by Ben Carson was a turning point for me,” Taiwo shared. “It inspired me to pursue Nursing, knowing that I could combine compassion with science to make a difference.”
Choosing to attend the same university was a family decision rooted in financial convenience and emotional support. The Alade twins grew up in a household that valued education and discipline. Encouraged by their parents to excel academically, their interest in science during secondary school naturally led them toward a career in Nursing.
At McPherson University, the twins enjoy the luxury of serenity to further establish their bond, while expressing their individuality. In consolidation of this, they have made a habit of studying together, while maintaining same circles of friends so as to limit distractions that are bound to come their way. Their approach to navigating university life reflects a maturity born of understanding the complexities of twin dynamics and they intend to take this beyond the Campus, as God’sGreatness declared “we definitely plan to get married on the same day”.
One of their favorite pastimes is watching movies, a hobby that helps them unwind after the rigors of academics. “Movies are our escape,” Taiwo revealed. “They bring us closer and allow us to laugh, cry, and reflect together.” This shared passion has strengthened their bond, offering a way to connect outside their academic commitments.
Their family’s support has been a cornerstone of their journey. The twins expressed gratitude for the financial relief their parents enjoy from their attending the same institution. Beyond this, their upbringing emphasized the importance of heritage and values, serving as a guiding principle in their academic and personal lives.
As The Alade twins shares their experiences, offering an authentic glimpse into twin life. From lighthearted moments to profound reflections, they use their platform to inspire others. Their story is a testament to the power of familiar bonds,
