Professor Alese Kayode Inspects Ongoing 5,000-Seat Multipurpose Hall Construction

Professor Alese Boniface Kayode of the Department of Cyber Security, Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), conducted an inspection of the ongoing construction of a 5,000-seat multipurpose hall at McPherson University during a recent visit to the institution. The inspection followed his participation in an M.Sc project assessment at the university.

The inspection of the 5000-capacity led by the Public Relations Officer of the University, Tokunbo Olakunle, Professor Kayode Alese expressed admiration for the progress of the project, commending the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Francis Igbasan, for his visionary leadership in spearheading such a significant infrastructure initiative. He described the project as a remarkable step toward enhancing the university’s capacity to host large events and academic activities.

Speaking on the design and functionality of the facility, Professor Kayode emphasized the importance of integrating modern Information Technology (IT) systems into the hall. He pointed out that given the building’s size and its inclusion of multiple conference rooms, IT infrastructure is essential to support its functionality and maximize its potential. He recommended that the engineering team prioritize this during the ongoing construction phase.

“The inclusion of advanced IT systems is non-negotiable for a structure of this magnitude,” Professor Kayode remarked. “It will ensure the facility is equipped to host conferences, seminars, and other events seamlessly, meeting global standards.”

The professor lauded Vice-Chancellor Igbasan for his dedication to transforming McPherson University into a top tier institution. He described him as a visionary leader and noted that his efforts were a source of pride not just for the university but also for the wider academic community.
