COLLEGE OF LAW DRESS CODE
As requested, please find below the approved dress code for College of Law students:
For male students: White long-sleeve or short-sleeve shirt, black plain trousers, black tie, black jacket black shoes, and black sweater. No baggy jeans, long haircuts, and long beards.
For female students: White long-sleeve or short-sleeve top, black skirt (below the knee), black jacket, black shoes and black sweater. No long hairstyles, flashy hair colours and leggings.
DRESS CODE FOR COLLEGE OF HUMANITY, SOCIAL AND MANAGEMENT SCIENCES STUDENTS
Based on information provided by the various Heads of Department, the following table outlines the approved dress codes for students in the College:

| Religion Studies | Monday – White top on black skirts or trousers
Wednesday – Purple top on black skirts or trousers |

COLLEGE OF COMPUTING DRESS CODE
This is to inform you that students of the College of Computing are required to wear corporate attire from Mondays to Thursdays, while modest native attire is permitted on Fridays.
However, prohibited attire such as jeans, baggy trousers, short knickers, mini-skirts, skimpy dresses, transparent, revealing, or excessively tight clothing, as well as caps, slippers, and similar items, are not permitted within the College.
COLLEGE OF COMPUTING LABORATORY COAT
All students are required to possess a white laboratory coat with the department’s acronym inscribed on the left pocket. The laboratory coat must be worn during all practical classes in the laboratory. The department’s acronyms are as follows:
- Computer Science Department – CMP
- Information Technology – IFT
- Software Engineering – SEN
- Cyber Security – CYS
All other students who will be taking practical in the College are required to wear laboratory coats with their departmental acronyms clearly inscribed. This directive will take effect from the 2026/2027 Academic Session. No student will be allowed into the laboratory without the prescribed laboratory coat.
