COLLEGE OF ALLIED HEALTH SCIENCES

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Candidate must be registered with MLSCN and must possess current practicing License.

a) Professor (Medical Laboratory Scientist) – MUTSSS 7
i. A Ph.D. degree in the relevant discipline from reputable university. Evidence of academic leadership in terms of substantial scholarly publications in reputable journals in relevant field of study, project design, excursion and monitoring, administrative experience etc. with at least fifteen (15) years of post-qualification, full-time relevant teaching experience. Professional experience where applicable will be an advantage.
ii. b) Twenty (20) Journals must be published in international journals Papers of which at least 6 must be published in high impact factor international journal outfit or 18 Journal papers of which at least 6 must be possible in high impact factor international journal plus 4 referred conference proceedings.
iii. Reasonable administrative experience in order to be able to give academic/professional leadership in academics

b.) Reader (Medical Laboratory Scientist) – MUTSSS 6
i. A Ph.D. degree in the relevant discipline from reputable university with at least twelve (12) years of post-qualification, full-time relevant teaching experience.
ii. Fifteen (15) Journals must be published in international journals which at least 4 off shore or 13 Journal papers of which 4 must be published offshore plus 4 referred proceedings in reputable journals and ability to carry out and supervise research in area of expertise.
iii. Reasonable administrative experience in order to be able to give academic/professional leadership in academics.

c.) Senior Lecturer (Medical Laboratory Scientist) – MUTSSS 5
i. A Ph.D. degree from reputable university with some substantial scholarly publications in the relevant field and must have at least nine (9) years of post-qualification university full-time teaching or research experience.
ii. Ph.D. Grade is compulsory at this level candidate must possess 8 Journal Papers of which at least 2 must be published offshore or 6 Journal papers of which 2 must be published

d.) Lecturer I (Medical Laboratory Scientist) – MUTSSS 3
i. A Ph.D. degree from reputable university in the relevant field and six (6) years of full-time teaching in a university or work experience in a research institution. Ph.D. degree is compulsory at the level.
ii. 3 Journal papers or 2 Journal papers plus 2 conference proceedings. These with Ph.D. level require 4 Journals papers or 3 Journal papers plus 2 referred proceedings.

e.) Lecturer II (Medical Laboratory Scientist) – MUTSSS 3
i. Candidate should possess a MSc. degree from reputable university and must demonstrate evidence of ability to participate in research, and evidence of registration for Ph.D.
ii. And 2 Journal papers or 1 Journal paper with 1 referred conference proceeding. Must have at least 3 years University Teaching experience.

COLLEGE OF HUMANITIES SOCIAL AND MANAGEMENT SCIENCES
Department of International Relations
i. Senior Lecturer

iii. Assistant Lecturer

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
a) Senior Lecturer (International Relations) – MUTSSS 5
i. A Ph.D. degree from reputable university with some substantial scholarly publications in the relevant field and must have at least nine (9) years of post-qualification university full-time teaching or research experience.
ii. Ph.D. Grade is compulsory at this level candidate must possess 8 Journal Papers of which at least 2 must be published offshore or 6 Journal papers of which 2 must be published

b.) Lecturer II (International Relations) – MUTSSS 3
iii. Candidate should possess A Ph.D. degree from reputable university and must demonstrate evidence of ability to participate in research.
iv. And 2 Journal papers or 1 Journal paper with 1 referred conference proceeding. Must have at least 3 years University Teaching experience.]

c) Assistant Lecturer (International Relations) – MUTSSS 2
A research-based Master’s degree from reputable university with at least twelve (12) months of full-time post-qualification experience. Evidence of having reached an advanced stage of completing Ph.D. programme will be an advantage.

SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES
McPherson University runs a remuneration package which is comparable to what obtains in public Universities in Nigeria. The basic salaries are as follows:
i. Professor MUTSSS 7 (₦5,514,178.8 – ₦7,241,955.36) per annum
ii. Reader MUTSSS 6 (₦4,539 652.2 – ₦6,023,856.00) per annum
iii. Senior Lecturer MUTSSS 5 (₦3,727,651.56 – ₦5,364,362.76) per annum
iv. Lecturer I MUTSSS 4 (₦2,513,753.4 – ₦3,238,571.52) per annum
v. Lecturer II MUNTSSS 3 (₦1,997,170.32 – ₦2,381,327.52) per annum
vi. Assistant Lecturer MUNTSSS 2 (₦1, 759,045.08 – ₦2,123,642.28) per annum
