Web 3 Campus Hub Launches at McPherson University, Igniting a Movement of Student Builders

In a major step toward digital innovation and youth empowerment, QuidX AI officially launched its Web 3 Campus Hub in McPherson University. An event that took place on Friday, June 7th, 2025 received massive support from tech partners including Quidstation, AVAX, Learnway, and DevCasta, the high energy event brought together students, developers, creatives, and tech leaders to explore the future of decentralized technologies. With the theme “Empowering the Next Generation of Builders from Campus,” the event served as a launchpad for student-led innovation, practical Web 3 onboarding, and a shared vision of building a decentralized future right from university grounds.

The Multipurpose Hall was filled with excitement as the event began with opening prayers and the McPherson University anthem. The crowd’s anticipation was matched by the lineup of speakers and workshops designed to equip attendees with actionable knowledge in Web 3 technologies, digital creativity, and blockchain-based development.

Adesida John, a 400-level Software Engineering student and founder of both Quidstation and QuidX AI, delivered a heartfelt welcome address. He shared his journey from idea to implementation, using QuidX AI as a case study to highlight the power of student innovation. Adesida stressed that the goal of the Web 3 Hub is not only to teach but to inspire students to create real world solutions.

Following Adesida’s remarks, the Dean of Student Affairs gave a stirring keynote, affirming the university’s commitment to innovation. He praised the launch as a milestone in student development, emphasizing that true change comes when young people are equipped to build and lead from within their institutions.

Creative technologist Dee, representing DevCasta, delivered an engaging session on how Web 3 is opening new frontiers in music, design, writing, and art. Sharing his own entry into Web 3 content writing, he walked students through the platforms and tools that helped him succeed. He particularly highlighted the role of Twitter in building visibility and accessing freelance opportunities.

The CEO of DevCasta, Samuel Osiyomeoh, followed with a practical message for aspiring developers, recounting his own growth from coding to founding a developer-centric startup. He announced an upcoming three-day Web 3 development bootcamp for McPherson students and encouraged them to begin experimenting with open-source projects and building in the blockchain space.

A highlight of the startup spotlight segment was the presentation by the CEO of Varcity Chat, Ijeomah Chukwuebuka Anthony, who unveiled a new campus communication app aimed at improving student engagement and collaboration. Designed with students’ real needs in mind, the app drew interest as a solution born from and for academic environments. Olubakin Boaz, a 300-level student at McPherson, stepped up to deliver a passionate “student founder” pitch. He challenged his peers to stop waiting for the “right moment” and start building now. Citing Adesida John’s work as a blueprint for success, Boaz made a powerful call to action for students to turn ideas into impact.

In a highly practical segment, Enoch Ebuka an ambassador for the Web 3 Hub McU Chapter, conducted a live demo on creating wallets and using decentralized applications. He engaged the crowd with a hands-on onboarding session and rewarded five students who completed the task with $2 each, sponsored by QuidX AI.

Despite the absence of Learnway’s CEO, a passionate delegate delivered an energetic walkthrough of the platform’s gamified learning system. Students participated in Web 3 quizzes and earned real-world rewards, reinforcing Learnway’s mission to make blockchain education accessible, fun, and incentivized.

Dre from AVAX wrapped up the learning sessions with an engaging breakdown of the Avalanche ecosystem. He introduced students to real-life use cases and capped the segment with a quiz and giveaway. Fifteen students walked away with prizes including cash, NFTs, and exclusive access to AVAX tools. The day ended on a high note as Kunle, Quidstation’s Community Manager, officially unveiled the Web 3 Campus Hub. He outlined its components, spanning crypto, NFTs, development, and creative tracks, and urged students to get involved and lead the next wave of innovation. In his closing remarks, Adesida John declared, “This isn’t just a launch, it’s a movement.” With photos, swag, and buzzing post event conversations, the Web 3 era at McPherson University is now in full swing.
