The i-Code cohort 5-day training, organised by the ICP Hubs Network, concluded on Friday 25th October 2024, marking a significant step towards empowering developers in Nigeria to harness the potentials of blockchain technology. The Internet Computer Protocol (ICP) initiative aims to provide comprehensive training and support for developers to create blockchain products, emphasizing the growing importance of this technology in all sectors.

Mr. Damilare Kalejaiye, the ICP organiser, urged participants to continue building on the skills acquired during the training. He highlighted the importance of ongoing development, stating that the knowledge gained should be put into practice. Kalejaiye also announced an upcoming Hackathon scheduled for next year, where participants of this training will have the opportunity to compete for substantial monetary prizes by showcasing innovative and creative blockchain solutions.

Dr. Ibam Emmanuel, the Acting Dean, College of Computing, reinforced the training’s significance, amplifying the permanence of blockchain technology in the modern world. He encouraged attendees to pursue further learning and development in this field, noting that the skills acquired during the training are not just valuable but essential for their professional growth. “Blockchain is here to stay, and your commitment to continuous improvement will set you apart,” he stated.
