McPherson University joined the global community to commemorate the 2024 World Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Awareness Week, with the theme: “Educate, Advocate, Act Now.” The event was organized by the Medical Laboratory Science Department and featured a series of activities aimed at raising awareness, educating participants, and encouraging immediate action against the growing threat of antimicrobial resistance.

The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria has officially approved McPherson University, Ogun State, as one of the centers for its statutory examinations in the state. This decision comes after a thorough assessment of the facilities at the Department of Nursing Science, College of Allied Health Sciences. The approval marks another milestone for the University, as a growing Center for excellence in healthcare education.

McPherson University recently hosted Project 10 Million Live, a major health awareness campaign aimed at fighting diabetes and hypertension. Organised by the College of Allied Health Sciences in partnership with the National Health Commissioners Forum (NHCF) and the Ogun State Ministry of Health. The campaign seeks to reduce the impact of these non-communicable diseases through education and proactive health screenings.
