As part of its commitment to saving lives and supporting community health initiatives, McPherson University, Seriki Sotayo, Ogun State, has donated four hospital beds and four bed stands to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogunmakin Command.
The donation followed an earlier appeal made by the FRSC Ogunmakin Command during a courtesy visit to the university on November 28, 2025. The visit provided an opportunity for both institutions to renew their commitment to collaboration, particularly in promoting road safety, strengthening community health support, and enhancing operational synergy.
Presenting the items on behalf of the university, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Francis Igbasan, described the gesture as part of McPherson University’s contribution to efforts aimed at saving lives and supporting institutions that play critical roles in public safety.
Prof. Igbasan noted that the university remains committed to partnerships that have a direct impact on the well-being of society, stressing that the FRSC’s work aligns with the institution’s values of service and social responsibility.
In his remarks, the Unit Commander of the FRSC Ogunmakin Command, ACC PD Gogomi, expressed appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor and the management of McPherson University for the donation of the Fowler beds. He offered prayers for the Vice-Chancellor and the continued growth of the university.
ACC Gogomi further commended McPherson University for its consistent commitment to initiatives that enhance community welfare and public safety, describing the donation as timely and valuable to the command’s operations.
