Established in 2012, McPherson University (McU) is named after late Aimee Semple McPherson – the founder of Foursquare Gospel Church, whose vision and mission has always been to impact life through leadership, development and service.
The Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria, the main sponsor of the McPHERSON UNIVERSITY (McU), has since its establishment in Nigeria in 1955, taken giant strides in education in its quest to develop and equip men and women for leadership and service. Having successfully run and impacted good education at Nursery, Primary and Secondary School levels in many towns and cities of Nigeria, the Church embraced a bigger vision of expanding in scope by complementing government efforts in producing highly skilled human resources, through the establishment of a University that is geared towards building people who are imbibed with sound and balanced academic and moral education and godly virtues.
