The Department of Accounting, College of Social and Management Sciences at McPherson University, Seriki Sotayo, Ogun State, hosted the project defense of two Master of Science (MSc) students. The defense showcased the academic and research excellence within the department. 

Professor Alese Boniface Kayode of the Department of Cyber Security, Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), conducted an inspection of the ongoing construction of a 5,000-seat multipurpose hall at McPherson University during a recent visit to the institution. The inspection followed his participation in an M.Sc project assessment at the university. 

The College of Computing at McPherson University, Seriki Sotayo, Ogun State, has made history by hosting its first Master’s dissertation defense in Computer Science. The exercise was another development in university’s academic achievements. 

Rev. Dr. Sam Aboyeji, the General Overseer of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria and Visitor to McPherson University, accompanied by his wife, Rev. Olabisi Aboyeji, paid a working visit to inspect the ongoing construction of a 5,000 capacity multipurpose hall. The project, expected to be a transformative development for the Institution, is currently under construction and will provide students, faculty, and visitors with a modern facility for various events and activities.

Dr. Grace Aina, the first female HOD in Accounting Department in McPherson University. In this interview with Timothy Sogaolu, Goodness Olugbuyiro & Aanu Atanda, she shared her thoughts on her tenure as HOD, drug abuse among other important matters. Excerpts:

In a heartwarming display of love and respect, staff members of McPherson University gathered to celebrate the birthday of the Ag. Registrar, Mr. Olufemi Adebowale. The event, which took place inside the office of the Registrar, was an opportunity for staff to come together and honour an icon for his dedication and hard work. Mr.Olufemi Adebowale’s leadership has been instrumental in pushing the University towards greater achievements, and this celebration was a fitting tribute to his ongoing contributions.

As Staff and Students of McPherson University returned to campus from the Christmas and New Year breaks, ahead of the second semester, activities kicked off seamlessly, with a special Monday morning prayer gathering at the Institution’s chapel.

Akinfenwa Omolola Bernice (Taiwo) and Akinfenwa Omotayo Bernita (Kehinde), two 300-level students at McPherson University, have come a long way since they began their academic journey. Despite being identical twins, they have carved out distinct paths in their studies and personal lives. While Omolola is focused on accounting, Omotayo has found her passion in nursing. Their unique journey through university life has not only been shaped by their different academic choices but also by their shared experiences as twins.

McPherson University held its annual Christmas Carol of Five Lessons, a festive celebration blending music, drama, and a special award ceremony to honor staff excellence. During the event which is usually graced by members of the university community, including staff, students, and distinguished guests, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Francis Igbasan, commended staff for their dedication to the growth of the university over the past year, highlighting their collective efforts in propelling the institution toward greater success.

Mojoyinoluwa and Mojolajesu Tiamiyu, two brilliant students at McPherson University, Seriki Sotayo are a set of identical twins who have spent their lives blending shared experiences with distinct personal identities. Born in Lagos, Nigeria, they have a rich cultural heritage and a close-knit family dynamic. With an older sister who once worked as a banker before pursuing a Master degree, the twins have always been surrounded by role models who emphasize the value of education and hard work. Though they share a deep familial bond, Taiwo and Kehinde have developed their own paths, both academically and personally, making their story one of fascinating duality.
