Taiwo and Kehinde Aládé, also known as God’sPraise (Ìyìnolúwa) and God’sGreatness (Títóbiolúwa), are 100-level Nursing students at McPherson University. Hailing from Ọ̀yọ́ State, residing in Abúlé Ẹ̀gbá, the twins shared a unique story of inspiration, resilience, and mutual support. Their passion for Nursing was kindled by their love for learning and the influence of Ben Carson’s books. “Reading Think Big and You Have a Brain by Ben Carson was a turning point for me,” Taiwo shared. “It inspired me to pursue Nursing, knowing that I could combine compassion with science to make a difference.” 

McPherson University came alive on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, as it played host to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Town Hall Meeting. Held in the university’s Multipurpose Hall. Their journey took a dramatic turn when they received news of their father’s unexpected demise. “We just got a call one morning that they found him dead inside. We don’t know what happened. He wasn’t the type that communicates much, so we had no idea if he was sick,” they recall.

Babatunde Oyindamola, a 300-level student from the College of Computing, McPherson University, has been awarded as the Best Hackathon 2024 Champion after an intensive week-long boot-camp competition held in Lagos.
